Voting Forum Hosted by Secretary Hosemann in Tupelo

Tupelo, Miss. (Daily Journal) –

Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann will discuss poor voter turnout and cybersecurity concerns in a series of public forums around the state in the coming weeks.

Hosemann will be in Tupelo on Tuesday. The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 12 noon on the second floor of the Lee County Justice Center. The meeting will last less than an hour, allowing workers to stop by on their lunch break.
“The primary purpose of this event is to get folks in the community talking about elections in order to, perhaps, spur a better turnout in November,” said spokesperson Leah Smith. “The Secretary will also discuss efforts to maintain the integrity of the vote and the voter registration system.”

Hosemann plans to have similar meetings in every town he visits ahead of the Nov. 6 general election.
